Tumby Bay Boat Ramp
The District Council of Tumby Bay owns and is responsible for the maintenance of the Tumby Bay Marina waterways and embankments.
The Council does not own or manage berths within the marina; all are privately owned.
Mooring of boats within the marina other than at designated pontoon berths is not permitted. The Council has commissioned a hydro-survey of the Tumby Bay Channel and Marina, which can be accessed here. Please be aware that the information on this chart is current only at the time of survey and may not be relied on for accuracy at any time after this date. In particular, the water depth at the entrance to the marina is subject to change due to seasonal sand movement and changing tide.
The Council does not monitor the water depth and owners of larger/deeper vessels are advised to undertake their own investigations prior to attempting to enter the marina. The Council maintains a two-lane boat ramp within the marina as a service to residents and visitors. The boat ramp is available to all users for a permit fee.
Boat ramp fees are:
Daily | $5 |
Weekly | $17 |
Monthly | $23 |
Annual | $62 |
Annual Concession | $51 |
Boat Ramp Permits can be obtained online here.
Any issues or further queries relating to the boat ramps should be directed to the Council office on 8688 2101.
