Tumby Bay Sport & Recreation Master Plan

Tumby Bay Sport & Recreation Master Plan

The District Council of Tumby Bay endorsed the Tumby Bay Sport and Recreation Master Plan on 16 January 2025, marking an important milestone in the long-term planning for the Tumby Bay Oval precinct. Developed in collaboration with Holmes Dyer and local sporting groups, the Master Plan provides a strategic vision for the future development of modern, integrated facilities that support both current and emerging sporting and recreational activities.

The endorsed Master Plan serves as a guiding framework for future investment and development within the precinct. As Council continues to work with sporting clubs, user groups and the broader community, further planning, detailed design and feasibility assessments will help shape the implementation of the vision. Through this ongoing collaborative process, elements of the plan may be refined to ensure the best outcomes for the precinct and its users.

By progressively enhancing and modernising infrastructure, the precinct aims to strengthen community participation, support a diverse range of activities, and increase opportunities to attract regional and state-level events. This strategic approach will help maximise funding opportunities, support sports tourism, and contribute to the long-term social and economic benefits of the Tumby Bay community.
