Situated on the school grounds, the library provides a free public library service to the community. The library is a joint use facility of the District Council of Tumby Bay and the Tumby Bay Area School.

Membership is free. New members need to produce identification showing their name, current address and signature. They will be issued with a personal library card for use when borrowing items. By receiving a library card, the member agrees to accept responsibility for all materials borrowed from the public library network, whether for themselves or their child under eighteen years.

The library is a member of the ONE CARD network so you can use your library card anywhere in the state. You can go online at www.libraries.sa.gov.au/tumbybay and look at materials that are in our library and the rest of the state. By using your borrower number and PIN you can place holds on titles we do not hold in Tumby Bay.

Materials for loan

  • Children’s fiction and non-fiction
  • Young adult fiction and non-fiction
