EP YouthCON 2022

EP YouthCON 2022

Where to after school?  How can you be ready, resilient and confident as you look beyond school to build your future?

Sponsored by Wellbeing SA, through its SA Healthy Towns program, EP YouthCON: The Resilience Effect was held to answer these questions, bringing inspiring and motivational speakers and workshops to senior students, and build the student's resilience and confidence as they look towards transitioning out of school and into work or study.

While COVID conditions made it hard for many students to attend in person, there were more than 100 students at each of the two days, and the entire conference program is now available online for those who couldn't be there.
Students/teachers/parents who attended in person or viewed online can also stay in touch with each other via the Facebook group - organisers would love to hear what you thought of the speakers, workshops and event in general.

Thanks to all involved, especially LeadersHP for our amazing MC Mia, keynote speaker Taryn Brumfitt of the Embrace Movement, AFL star and Youth Opps ambasssador Luke Partington, Youth Opps CEO Erin Faehrmann, Youth Opps facilitators Stephen Sverchek and Paul Stoddard, SA Commissioner for Young People Helen Connolly, West Coast Youth and Community Services' case worker Jim Stockham, SA Youth Ambassador Shania Richards, Beacon of Hope Tumby Bay Wellness Group, Headspace Port Lincoln, and finally On Eyre media for filming and livestreaming the event.
