Living Well
In 2020 the District Council of Tumby Bay received a grant from the Office for Ageing Well, SA Health, under the Age Friendly SA (AFSA) 2019-20 Grant Program, for a project called Living Well, which has been conducted 1 June 2020 to 30 November 2021.
Living Well has been a 12 month project to gauge liveability in District Council of Tumby Bay communities - and identify what needs work.
The Living Well advisory committee thanks the 130+ Tumby Bay & Districts residents who submitted responses to the Living Well survey online or on paper during October-December 2020.

Also as part of its mandate, the Living Well project engaged a consultant to carry out accessibility audits of public spaces and council-owned buildings within the Tumby Bay township.
The resulting audits were presented to Council at its meeting on October 12, 2021. Council accepted the reports and directed staff to scope the cost of compliant accessible car parking in various locations. While Council will not be The reports will also serve as a reference
The data collected is very valuable and is already helping the Living Well committee, District Council of Tumby Bay and other organisations and authorities identify future priorities and projects.
