Fox baits of dried meat containing 1080 poison has been laid in Tumby Island Conservation Park for the control of foxes.

Sodium fluoro acetate (1080) is an agricultural chemical product (poison) registered by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA). 1080 is used to control vertebrate pests such as foxes, rabbits and dingoes. In order for a product to be registered the APVMA must be satisfied that when used according to the label the product will not cause unintended harm to humans or the environment.
