Online payments are now available. Please click here to be redirected to a secure server where your transaction will take place. You will need your Reference Number which can be found on the front of your rates notice. Payment is by credit card. Bankcard and Mastercard are all accepted. Up to five rate accounts can be paid in the one transaction.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, money order or credit card in person at the Council Office, Cnr Mortlock Street & West Terrace, Tumby Bay, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00pm before the due date.
To make your payment by mail, tear off the payment slip at the bottom of your Rates / Instalment Notice and mail it with your cheque / money order to District Council of Tumby Bay, PO Box 61, Tumby Bay SA 5605. Telephone credit payments are also available. Phone the Council Office on (08) 86882 101 before the due date.
B-Pay is also available. Please call your participating financial institution to make a payment from your nominated savings, cheque or credit card account. You'll need to enter the Biller Code and your Assessment Number / Customer Reference which appears on the front of your Rates / Instalment Notice.
Internet Payments (located on welcome page) is a secure environment in which rates, dogs and invoices can be paid with a credit card.
You may object to the valuation referred to on the Rates / Instalment Notice in writing served personally or by post to the Valuer General within 60 days after the date of service of the notice.
a) if you have previously received a notice or notices under the Local Government Act, 1999 referring to the valuation and informing you of a 60 day objection period, the objection period is 60 days after service of the first such notice;
b) you may not object to the valuation if the Valuer General has already considered an objection by you to that valuation.

These rates are due and payable and will be in arrears if they remain unpaid after the due date for payment. A fine of 2% of the amount in arrears will be added on the day on which the rates are first in arrears and upon the expiration of each month from that day a further interest charge of the prescribed percentage on the total amount in arrears (including the amount of any previous unpaid fine, but excluding any interest charge), will be added.
RATES IN ARREARS MAY BE RECOVERED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE BY ACTION IN ANY COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION.
