In partnership with:

EML invite you to the Tumby Bay Community Mental Health Forum.

One in five Australians experience mental illness every year, yet only a fifth of these people seek help. In regional areas that number drops to 1 in 10. Stigma is the leading reason why people don’t access services or reach out to friends and family, resulting in delays in recovery and can heavily impact on individuals and their families.

This forum aims to provide mental health and suicide prevention education. Additionally, we hope to promote discussion regarding the needs of the Tumby Bay and surrounding areas and identify what resources can be gathered to ensure the wellbeing of the community for the future.

Topics will be covered such as mental illness, suicide and checking in on people, family violence, youth wellbeing, alcohol and other drug use as well as how to access services.
